A week in Instagram

Enya has been growing her hair since she was born, and today she had it cut. No more crying because it takes an hour to dry and gets all knotted and tangled.

Ok, where on Earth did Fall go?

Mia got her first big-girl seat.

First time at the petting zoo.

Wet Walls

Even though I have committed to do a craft fair in December and have nothing to sell, I am still optimistic that I can make it -- don't know if delusional and optimistic are the same thing, but I am going for Optimistic. We have a little construction going on over here but nothing we haven't had before. . . . except, now it's in Mia's room, the only room that was freshly painted and decorated. We noticed earlier in the week that the wallpaper in Mia's room was wavy so we pulled the bed away from the wall and saw that the wall was wet. Oh hell no! The shower in the bathroom is leaking into the wall and now everything has been ripped up and out. The good thing about this is that we are going to get a bigger shower with glass doors.

I keep telling myself that we are all healthy and this too shall pass.

Kick Life Back in the Gonads

Have you ever noticed that when shitty things happen it usually happens in threes? You are running late and hit your elbow on the door jamb while trying to put on your jacket.  You jump in the car and hit every red light on the way to where you are going and then when you are finally sitting where you need to be, you glance down and realize that you are wearing one blue and one black sock. That is, of course, just something harmless that will not really stop you in stride but sometimes life just hands you a situation where you think to yourself  "Seriously"? You just never know where the next lesson is, waiting to jump out and smack you.
Whenever you think, "Yeah, I got this!", life hauls off and bitch-slaps you right in the face.
It's okay though, I guess; it is true that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and you will get through it stronger and more independent but jeez......enough already!

So here is what  learned:
People can, and will, lie to your face.
Blood is thicker than water.
People make dumb-ass choices everyday.
Cheaters never prosper.
In a crisis, family sticks together.
Privacy is worth fighting for.
Re-inventing yourself is hard.
Sleep training  a baby is hard and heart-breaking.
Friends are awesome.
You get back three times what you dish out.

So, now that I got that off my bodacious tata's, I will get back to crafting, sewing, cooking, cleaning, and laundry! Yes, I am doing that all at once; remember I have ADD.

Maybe I should get one of these.

It's all in the bag

This is what I have been up to:

A beach bag, so I can not go to the beach.

From old garden Gnomes to Glitter Disco Gnomes!

I tried a ring cleaning recipe from Thrifty Decor Chick that worked really well. And yes, my hands are gross.

Watched the kids grow a little more.

Had an 80's-themed Birthday Party.

Got up at 4:15am and sold my crap at the Fleamarket; made about 130 Euros so, not bad.

Went hiking and to the park.

Had birthday parties.
So, to sum it up. . . . . . . . . life!
